Christian Workout Quotes To Boost Your Bodyweight Routine
We get a lot of questions from our devoted christian fans as to how the religion “feels” about them working out. We touched on this topic in one of our previous articles titled “Is working out compatible with Christian modesty?”
Of course, christian modesty teaches us to behave in a way that embodies humility, self-control and respect for both yourself and your fellow man (woman). In the aforementioned article, we talked about three aspect of working out, from the religious point of view:
- Self-Bettering VS Vanity – if you are working out to better yourself, improve the fitness level your body is in, become a healthier, happier individual, working out is perfectly normal and even recommended. But if you’re working out for the sake of vanity and drawing attention to yourself, then it conflicts with the modesty principle.
- Dressing – choosing clothing that’s both comfortable as well as appropriate, while you’re working out, is the way to go. Wearing clothes that’s too flashy and revealing is not a good path to follow.
- Attitude – this point ties in with the first one and tells us you should always work out with humility in an attempt to better yourself, rather than using your exercises and muscles to show you are better than others.
Best Christian Workout Quotes
Now that we’ve covered the question of working out as a christian and agreed that it’s totally fine, as long as you keep these principles close to heart, let’s talk about your motivation while you’re actually at the gym.
Of course, with Christ on your side, no workout or challenge is too great, but sometimes we need that extra push to go through a particularly challenging routine.
Here are some workout quotes that are going to help you build both character and muscles in the gym:
- Love God so much that you take the best care of the body He gave you – show Him how good you’re taking care of your body
- God in you is stronger than any of your excuses – you can use this one both in the gym and outside of it
- Need stronger faith? Test it like you test your strength. Neglect it, and it will weaken – let this quote remind you that you need to strengthen your faith just as much as your body
- Do something today that shows God you’re thankful for the life He died to give you – such a powerful quote. Use it to build up yourself and your body
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – you will never miss a set with Lord on your side
- Your body temples the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God – keep reminding yourself every day that you need to take good care of this temple
- He is with you – use this as a reminder that Christ is with you and will help you make it through the most challenging gym set
Using Supplementation
Before we close out, we also get a lot of emails asking us if taking supplementation is the right thing to do. Of course, only you can answer this question, but, again, make sure you are answering it from a humble and self-bettering angle, rather than the vanity one.
Vanity would probably push you down the path of using steroids and other banned substances. But, by using such substances, you are negatively affecting your health and making your quality of life deteriorate.
It would probably be a better idea to turn to something more natural, such as creatine, which has been studied numerous times and proved to be a perfectly legitimate option if you want to build out your body. We’ve only recently learned of some other substances people are using and being prescribed to help them lose weight and live a healthier life. Substances such as semaglutide, cjc and cjc 1295 with dac. These are the substances our body can process and absorb in a much better, safer way and with less side effects, compared to steroids and drugs alike. So, be careful when choosing something to supplement your routine, put your health first, body second, and you’ll be in line with christian modesty but improve your physical health too.
